Realforce R2 RGB advice needed
« on: Sat, 29 May 2021, 21:17:09 »
I am currently using a Corsair K70 LUX RGB with Brown Switches

I think I want to try the Realforce R2 RGB KB.  Been reading some mixed stuff about the Realforce RGBs.

What improvements were made on the R2 RGB?

What mods do I need to do to make it sound and feel like a Typing Heaven I have, that's my experience with Topre.  I tried that one and made me think I would like a Topre RBG, KB has to be RGB for me.

Sounds like I may need Hypershere Rings and a set of Vortex Keys and I would be set?

How good is the RGB on this compared to my Corsair?  People complained about the original RGB being a little dim.

Any other things I should consider for this keyboard?

Where's the best place to buy one.  I am in the US

I know little about Topre except there are no options so if you want RGB Topre this is the board you have to buy.  If you like the sound great, if not Hypersphere rings are good. PBT vs ABS keycaps are personal opinion as is brightness - I'm sure they made it bright enough to see the legends, you may need to get a lamp if you want the whole room lit up because that's not what a keyboard is designed to do!

Surprisingly both the TKL and fullsize are in stock at MK.com which is a known reliable site, probably cheaper and quicker than importing one from Japan.

Sure, but I was hoping to get somebody with experience with this specific KB saying whether these things were issues or not.
