How to lube silent switches
« on: Wed, 04 August 2021, 04:14:18 »
Hi everyone, I was wondering how to lube silent switches well. I know it's already very quiet but I thought lubing might making it smoother. I tried lubing mine (Boba U4S) and it felt overlubed since it was also my first time lubing switches. I was thinking of trying to lube another set (Boba gum), wondering if anyone had tips on where I should avoid lubing compared to a normal switch.

I never had issues lubing boba or the regular silent MX silent switch. You just do it like any regular other switch. It could be that you apply way to much or the lube is way to thick for your taste and maybe you want to try thinner lube.

Maybe because it was your first time lubing, you silly
Just put as little lubricant as possible  , u4 don't need lubricant in my experience

I see haha, I thought I'd make it smoother since I was so used to alpacas. How do you find alpaca silents? I was looking for a linear silent switch and heard some people saying its the best, some people say it's a bit mushy.
