Keyboards in Thailand
« on: Thu, 02 September 2010, 02:02:14 »
Hi,

Do you guys know if there are any webstores or local stores in Thailand that sell keyboards with Topre, Cherry blue or brown switches, and what is the price range? I'm asking because my brother is going to for a trip to Thailand and I was wondering if I could get a new keyboard at a decent price. Here in Finland only Realforce 105 is available and every other mechanical keyboard has to be imported with ridiculous shipping costs.

Currently I own Realforce 105 and Customizer 105 and I used to own Das III. Now that my co-worker got himself a TVS Gold from India, I kinda miss the Cherry blue sound.

I've only briefly looked for keyboards during my trips to Thailand and never found anything interesting.  Electronics in general aren't available in the same variety that they are in the better developed countries.

That said, my 14 year old IBM rubber dome keyboard (KB-6323) was made in Thailand and for being a rubber dome isn't that bad.  I didn't buy it though in Thailand, bought it in Korea for $5 new.
