Wireless mechanical keyboard that works with KVMs
« on: Sat, 06 November 2021, 14:22:45 »
Hi,

I'd like to start using a mechanical wireless keyboard (75% or 65%, ideally low profile like Keychron K3). I have a KVM setup connecting to two Windows 10 PCs, one Macbook Pro, and one Dell PC running Linux to one monitor, keyboard, and mouse. The KVM is a CKLau 4Kx2k 4-port switch (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HRBBLWN) that has worked surprisingly well with anything I connected to it.

Do you have any recommendation for a keyboard that would cover my needs? It looks like a bluetooth-only keyboard will be challenging as hardly any Bluetooth dongle supports Mac, and I don't want to use the Mac built-in bluetooth support, the Keyboard should change the output based on the KVM switching alone. Ideally a keyboard with proprietary dongle (2.4GHz, etc) would do the job.

Thanks,
Alex
