AFAIK, they're identical. The Maxiswitch ones even have Lexmark components in them.

Argh, please stop posting your nice deals here! I thought this was an announcement for an interesting auction, only to find it ended anyway!

They're not as well built as the older ones, but the Trackpoint makes up for it.

I see people in this forum posting about the space saver they bought and talking about why they bought this or that keyboard. I bought the keyboard.

Back on topic...

I'll see when I get it, and maybe sell it for the cost that I bought for or trade for something.

36$ UPS shipping.  The thing is, it didn't say the shipping price anywhere in the listing, so I just gambled and bought it.  My loss I suppose- it better be a nice keyboard :)

Tell me about it, when driving across the border is cheaper and faster to drive over keyboard parts if the source and destination are within one day's shipping time.

All these M13's and no cash to get them.

It's hard to say, mine haven't worn any more since I got mine. Then again, I'm one of those people who seem to have no effect on pad printed markings, so YMMV.

I saw another black one from the same seller that recently ended at $93.92, plus shipping which would be $40 to me.  That one ran up there pretty good at the end.  Those first couple of boards are looking like they were a good deal.  I was tempted to bid on it.  But I figured it would probably shoot up at the end anyway.  Plus the bid was then at $34.56 and the OCD part of me didn't want to mess up that nice consecutive ascending numerical pattern,.

I just completed the transaction on the white M13 this seller had up.  Hasn't shipped yet but shouldn't be long now.  Hopefully is in good condition.  The spacebar looks a little shiny in the picture, maybe I can rough it up a bit with some 800 grit sandpaper if it's really shiny.

Here is the only picture I have of it until it arrives.

It's Ebay.

Those keys came from my parted out $10 M13.  That condition is about what to expect on the lower end of M13 black keys.  Now if I could find a spare gray left shift key and a blank/black S key, it'd be in less sorry shape.

Is there any particular reason you quote my handiwork, Ripster?  I am just surprised(pleasantly) to see you quote my Hackwriter.  Find a wheelwriter keyboard, a parts-grade M13, boltmod it, make a USB controller for it, make a minimalistic case for it, and assemble.  Then you have your own to show in Geekhack.

Condition is okay, but there are some worn off caps (c,n,m,enter) and the right shift key has some slight plastic chewage.

Well, here are the pics:

Condition is okay, but there are some worn off caps (c,n,m,enter) and the right shift key has some slight plastic chewage.

Not too bad and could perhaps be touched up with some paint.  And maybe sandpaper like I'm thinking I might need.  Unfortunately there was no way to see any of that in the picture due to low resolution and the cable wrapped around the keyboard.  Same deal for me, I'll just have to wait and see what condition it's in.

I hope to make this clearer in the rules once they are officially posted...but keep this in mind when using the "ebay finds" forum.

This forum is for letting others know about keyboards that are currently for sale (on ebay, specifically....but other vendors is fine).  It is NOT for advertising your auctions (that should go in the Classifieds section) and it is NOT for announcing keyboards you just picked up from eBay (that goes in the "keyboards" and/or "pictures" forum.  (obviously, you can add to a thread, noting that you purchased something...but the START of the thread should be the notification of something currently available)

I'll probably post a sticky with more detailed guidance when I have the time / feel like it.  ;)
