Hi

Any ideas where I could purchase a Cherry G80-3000LQC English layout, either from the States or Europe.

Thanks

You can get one with ISO standard layout (the one UK keyboards are based on) from germany...

You will not have the UK keycaps.. but at least the layout will be correct. You can always put stickers or paint key correct caps on the keys if you have to be able to see which key that is what.

As I have understood it, it is almoust impossible to get a LQC from the states. And if you would be able to get one it would probably be ANSI standard layout (US keyboard) and not the ISO layout that UK keyboards are based on.

You can see the German keycaps at my picasa gallery:

And watch out for the once called LQCEU... even tough it says EU this is an ANSI standard US keyboard... And NOT an ISO EU keyboard.

At last! A mechanical keyboard with Trackpoint of my own! Now with Hyper-Scroll! And also Ergo-Clear switches. Ohh... look... custom keys! :D

Hm, ok my bad

The ones I can find anywhere are either LQCDE or LQCEU
I didn't know there is another one with UK layout, also didn't know LQCEU is US layout (sense?), always assumed that's the UK one.

UK is "UK."  EU is the ANSI layout with the Euro sign on the 5 key.

Same as we scramble to buy Decks, Filcos, Das Keyboards... All made with cherry switches, go figure. The most ironic is actually Das Keyboards, as it means THE Keyboard. German name, not really available in Germany. Go figure :)

Globalization is just a myth when it comes to the really cool stuff...
Crap on the other hand is available everywhere
