I see tea-axis mentioned a lot. Is this referring to blue or brown.

My first instinct is brown because well, tea is brown.

And yes, tea in German is Tee but I'm not sure what you call the letter "t" in that language.

It means "brown."  I think the original word means both; kinda like "orange" in English.

Looking at the model numbers on http://elitekeyboards.com/products.php?sub=special&filter=spacesaver it looks like Cherry Browns.

Tea is technically black, green, or white.  Perhaps it is a reference to linear Cherry Blacks?  :)

There are listings for keyboards with black shaft's, which I infer to be cherry blacks.

Tea colour of black tea in Chines is red: Hong Cha.  So actual colour of tea wont help.  And there are differences in local terms and in mainland vs Taiwan terms.  Also simplified Chinese has thrown a whole new spanner in the works.  But...

That phrase is what came up in searches when we looked for Taiwan sources of keyboards with brown switches, such as my I-rocks 6230 and the ducky 1087.  I am 97% sure its brown switch.
