Design Story

The EMA keycap is a new profile that IDOBAO spent a year re-adjusting. We reduced the height to make it more in line with the typing habits of most people.There is no need to use the wrist rest because of the higher keycap and the more ergonomic design can easily relax the wrist, you will not feel tired when typing for a long time. Similarly, we increased the face of keys to the width of the surface makes its contact surface larger, so that the fingers can also be in good contact with the key surface during blind tapping.

Compared with other spherical keycap

Compared with SA profile to reduced the height by 3.5MM and increased the face of keys by 16.6%；
compared with MT3 profile to reduced the height by 2.5MM and increased the face of keys by 25%;
compared with ASA profile to reduced the height by 1.5MM and increased the face of keys by 14.8%,
compared with MDA profile to increase the height by 1.5MM and reduced the face of keys by 5%.

With a very small height adjustment, R3 could be exactly the same tool as R2, just turn the legends upside down.

thats right what you said,
the keycaps from left to right can understand as from up to down on the keyboard,
can be see as "R0, R1, R2, R3, R4, R4" or "R5, R4, R3, R2, R1, R1" ,
and the R3 nearly the same with R4 you mentioned is the biggest upgrate in this keycap, the change makes typing more confortable and could quickly suits in this keycap profile when you use and touch the keycapu. It is a little change of the spherical keycap but big experience change in using.
