Help With Model F AT Alt ANSI/Model M spacebar Mod
« on: Sat, 14 January 2023, 02:49:52 »
Hello,

Could anyone by chance point me in the right direction on how to do the model m spacebar mod with two alt keys?

I currently have an already pre ANSI modded (aside from the spacebar) model f at I purchased.

I’m very new to modding keyboards let alone buckling springs and model f’s so detail is very helpful haha.

Also looking to lighten the spacebar as well if that already isn’t done in the process. I think I’ve seen people do it a few different ways.

Am I correct in assuming I primarily need to just find a model m spacebar and order two barrels and flappers from modelfkeyboards or is there more needed parts wise?

Thanks for your time, I appreciate it!

“No political truth is of greater intrinsic value, or is stamped with the authority of more enlightened patrons of liberty: The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands .… may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.” —James Madison, Federalist 47
“All the powers of government, legislative, executive, and judiciary, result to the legislative body. The concentrating of these in the same hands, is precisely the definition of despotic government. An ELECTIVE DESPOTISM was not the government we fought for; but one .... in which the powers of government should be so divided and balanced among several bodies of magistracy, as that no one could transcend their legal limits, without being effectually checked and restrained by the others.” — Thomas Jefferson, commentary on Federalist 48

Hello,

Looking at Wcass's thread it seems that the pictures are missing. Would anyone by chance have them saved somewhere? Still seems to have some decent writing on it though.

Interesting. For me it says attachment invalid or does not exist on WCass's thread. Appreciate the links though, lots of good info.
