Any differences between MX blue keyboards?

Hi, I've been looking for a keyboard for a little while, and i've pretty much decided I want to get a board with cherry blue switches. This will be my first mechanical keyboard, and my question is, will there be any noticeable difference between say, a das keyboard and a filco if both have blue cherry switches?

Not between Das or Filco since they're both basically the same keyboard (main assembly is the same anyway, both are made by Costar).

But between manufacturers there are some differences due to the mounting method. Costar plate-mounted feels different from iOne plate-mounted feels different from Cherry PCB-mounted. The differences are subtle but noticeable to sensitive hands.



It's more noticeable with some other switches. MX browns vary widely in feel, plate mounted and PCB mounted are hugely different feeling, and the PCB mount ones from Cherry can vary with the size of the PCB and the weight of the keycaps (former has more effect than the latter).

Thanks, is either method decidedly better or is it pretty much subjective?

From my experience cherry blues vary hugely depending on the keycaps that are used. When using cherry doubleshots, the pitch is higher and they feel lighter and more crisp. they feel lighter to me but that could just be from the difference in sound and how my brain perceives it

I have the Filco and the Das Pro. Both are Cherry MX Blue.

The Filco keyboard, in my opinion, is substantially better made than the Das. You can read my little post in the Reviews section for further information.

So, I definitely recommend going with the Filco.
