Gateron Oil Kings - Clean and Re-lube?

Would there be much benefit to cleaning and re-lubing oil kings? I know it's a bit counterintuitive to buy pre-lubed switches only to lube them yourself, but I was curious if it would make a noticeable difference or if it'd just be a waste of time

I figured I'd clean and re-lube a couple (maybe 3 or 5) to get a feel and see if it's something I'd want to do for the whole board. Though I wanted to ask here just in case someone else has already done some research/experimenting, which is likely!

there would be a benefit, a hand lube job will be more consistent as you are intentional when it comes to every area of a switch, compared to gaterons which is most likely automated which would most likely create hot spots where there is way to much of not enough lube.

I would personally do it, not necessarily because of the lube job, but that is definitely a factor, but mostly to replace the stock springs with consistent ones, and if I'm doing that I will just take the time to redo everything, but that's just me.

In my opinion not worth it. I would just swap the spring and just break them in over time.

I think Oil King is a bit mushy on my hand. Relubing it will be better, and from my experience, it still reserves the thick thock sound.

Not worth it. I bought Oil Kings and just swapped springs with 85g TX Springs - XL (18mm) and they are AWESOME.
