I wouldn't say that I'm tidy because...I can lose things on a 2 foot x 1 foot desk with a thin monitor.Has anybody else got logistics problems? L0L

i'd take a piccy but the camera would melt.

Oh brilliant - I just found a 1 GB micro sd card+adapter in my 2 year old phone box - it wasn't even opened so now my new camera works - I'll try to show you something.

I used to be like that... I find it's really helpful to take like 15-20 minutes every weekend to just clean and tidy up. Obviously the first one might take a bit longer, but trust me it's worth it.

A clean house is a sign of a wasted life.

RSI prevention recipe:[/B] Kinesis Contoured, Colemak layout, touch typing, Contour Design Rollermouse,  Logitech TrackMan Wheel, Logitech m570 trackball, "workrave" break timer software, "awesome" window manager, tenkeyless boards, cherry browns, Wang 724 with "ghetto green" ALPS, standing desk and/or comfy adjustable chairs, stress reduction, computer time reduction.

That IS tidy - I can't even see the wood on my desk and the 1TG external HDD and two pintpot speakers are occluded by receipts and bits of paper with phone numbers on that should have gone into a cell or an address book months ago! I'll fish out a memory card for the camera and post some desk mayhem!

How do you like the buckling springs?

That Lexmark never needs toner! And the palm rest is Zen.

People visit me and practically freak out at how clean my house is. Not necessarily organized, mind you, just clean. I spend an hour every Saturday dusting, giving the floor a quick once over with the vac, and making sure things that have been left out are put back up.

It's decent I guess, though the force is kinda high, and it isn't as tactile as I expected (compared to say Model F, probably due to single piece caps)

Huh I wonder if it's got rivets? Do you have a rip-o-meter (a stack of nickels?)

A Model M key in good condition will start to move around the 9th nickel (45g) and it should buckle around 14-16 nickels (75-80g)

On a rivet damaged board, the key will start to move with fewer nickels.

Another indicator is if you press down on the key pretty hard (like a few lbs. of force) do the keys move around? If they are moving, that's bad.

The Lexmark's fine I guess. If I lift it up, shake it a bit and tilt it, I hear one fallen rivet inside moving around. I only have around 8 nickels, but with all those stacked, it barely moves.

Compare that with the 1390131 I PMed you about, I hear at least five rivet heads (possibly up to 8) moving around. However it seems to pass both of your tests.

I used to do hot water extraction cleaning carpets and sofas with an extracta machine but my house was a tip because I was doing other people's houses - no time to do my own.

When I had a gardening business - my garden was a jungle and all my client's gardens were immaculate.

My upstairs living room needs a blitz!

Eventhough it's because I am working my butt off I still can't imagine a way I could show you guys a photo without it being some sort of crime against humanity.

I just used my camera for the first time clickclack and it's poor little brain nearly melted.

I have to have a blitz today because a couple are coming 200 miles to see me tomorrow and I've not even met the lady - I'm just going to give her some extra dark sunglasses for indoors and spray a can of furniture polish about.Even the Kirby vacuum has asthma in my house - it can't cope.

I feel inadequate with just one little model M !

With all those keyboards clickclack you can start:

A keyboard museum

A big typing pool / secretarial agency

A typing centre of learning

Good to see you mate - I've not been on here for yonks.
