Solidtek ASK 6600 - white simplified alps?

Could someone please describe the feel to me? I'm almost finished with the purchase but it will take some for the shipment and all. I'm getting it from DSI for $45, although shipment will just a bit more than double the price (cross-continental shipment is a pain). How about a little introduction from someone who's already had it? What does it feel like typing? What about gaming? Did I do the right thing buying it, considering I could have a G80 Cherry blue or a Razer Black Widow for one third more or the black Cherry Steelseries 6GV2 for about the same money when buying locally or ordering from within the EU?

Please don't treat the small backspace as a deal-breaker. I will remap backslash to the menu key (who needs a hardware ALT+SPACE?) and backslash to backspace if I really need to. I'm happy to have both big shifts and a big enter.

The feel is solid.  It's not too wiggly--it is tighter than non-clicky ALPS keyboards.

At this price you should enjoy it.  Even with the click it is actually quieter than my ABS M1 non-clicky ALPS keyboard.

This keyboard does have two oddities.

First, the spacebar is shallower than what you're probably used to.  So are the shift keys.  I don't find these all that off-putting but it is an interesting quirk.
Second, the top two rows of keys are a sort of textured finish but the rest of the keys are smooth.  I'm told that all of these were made that way which I find rather odd.

At these prices, get two.

Thanks. I might do just that. Will have to wait a bit because I was trying to get a nice set for my friends from TVS but things are looking bad in terms of courier shipment prices and I'm not getting a reply to my question about using the plain post instead. By contrast, USPS makes it $50 for one, $96 for 5. And I'd be getting 6 or 7, so the shipment fee could become manageable. But, some guy in Poland is supposedly selling old Dells with Alps for $11 apiece, so I'd be getting all I could off him first instead.

I wouldn't mind a shallower space bar, I think, but the texture changing midway is kinda odd indeed.

Non-wiggly keys is important information to me as well. My Lexmark IBM has keys that wiggle a bit. They don't sit 100% straight even without touching anyway and the keyboard has been used so little you could wonder if it has broken in yet.
