Does it take more than basic soldering? Anything one couldn't do without a bit of a background in electronics? Could one pull it off by followings others' descriptions of the mods that have already worked?

i was able to do it, i barely used a drill my whole life, let alone solder and i'm typing on one now.
Not recommended lol, i don't think i'd want to do it again(tho i might make a ergo 4k, TEK clone now).
