Since this forum is dead for some strange reason I will explain: It is when you try to buy something from a country from a store doesn't ship to your country but since you still want the item then you can get a buyer living in that country to buy the item for you and ship it to their place (or they can go in person to buy it if there is a physical store) and then they will ship it again to your country.

This is all for an extra fee to make it worthwhile for the buyer to go shopping and going to the post office shipping for you, everything paid upfront before the agreement begins.

So in the end you will get your item that you wanted.

In shipping and logistics, a "proxy" is a person or entity allowed to act on behalf of another party in certain shipping-related transactions or operations. Companies and individuals may appoint proxies to manage shipping documentation such as bills of lading, packing lists, and certificates of origin. The proxy ensures that all necessary documents are properly completed and presented to the appropriate parties.
