Materials:
Unlike previous Huano switches which mostly use POM as the stem material, the Iced Coffee switches come with an L1 stem. The L1 blend material can be considered as Huano's LY. When compared with POM, L1 has a lower density and is softer.

The POK top housing is known to be durable and smooth. It is also good for mitigating top-out sound. Picnic Works chose POK as the top housing material because they want the bottom-out sound to stand out while keeping the top-out sound as subtle as possible. That is also the major reason why PA66 with 30% fiberglass was chosen to be the bottom housing material.

Fiberglass is a necessary additive during nylon injection because it helps with shaping. However, in the switch industry, engineers and enthusiasts noticed that PA66 with fiberglass could help bottom-out sound more clacky and higher pitched. After such discovery, PA66 + 30% fiberglass has become a standard choice when someone is trying to make a clacky switch.

In conclusion, the Iced Coffee switches come with a softer-than-usual bottom-out feel, but the sound is not deep or muted. With the help of fiberglass in the bottom housing, its sound signature can be defined as medium clack. The POK top housing helps eliminate unwanted extra noises and sound, which would help them to sound overall very clean and solid.
