Das Keyboard Model S Professional/Ultimate UK/US/EU/GER layout on german ebay

Hi all,

as I mentioned intelligently in the razer mechanical thread before:

On German ebay where I bought my Das Keyboard Model S Ultimate EU, a shop called "getdigital.de" is once in a while offering Das Keyboards in auctions. Those keyboards are not brand new but according to them are returns after buys. They offer a 30day money back policy so people probably ordered and returned the boards within the 30 days. So getdigital.de now auctions them on Ebay. I have seen Model S Professional in US, UK and GER layouts and Model S Ultimates in US/EU layouts. All blue cherry mx switches though. I guess most people who returned went with browns. Getdigital offers a 2 year warranty and 30 day return policy on the semi-used boards nonetheless.

Another oddity: Apparently the entire stock of getdigital.de is Das Model S WITH MEDIA KEYS. Which I just came to understand is a rarity. On the webshop of http://www.getdigital.de you can order them in US layout with blues or browns, with or without printed keycaps. Price is 120/130 Euro new w/o shippment.

On ebay, brace yourselves, just last week a semi-used UK layout (not US as I stated in the razer mech thread) Model S Ultimate went out for 26,50€..... That was a clear miss for just about anyone I guess.
The German version ones sell for around 70+€. I got mine for 66 but recently saw a GER layout Model S Professional go for 55€ (bummer because I missed it too and wanted it).

If someone wants my help to obtain one for them or talk to getdigital be my guest (PM). Otherwise happy hunting on german ebay

Found 2 more listings. Running for another 5 1/2 days.

This time they are US Layouts, one Professional, one Ultimate (Otaku) and one of 'em is even Silent (browns)! You bastards... I want me one of those with EU layout..

Starting Price is 20€ (!!!). The German ones usually go for around 60-70€.

You guys, 22 hours left on those 2 boards and they stand at 22€ and 20€ respectively. I guess no one is reading this but I imagine you will kick yourself in the nuts hard afterwards if you let this one go by unnoticed...

We are talking Das Model S with media keys in US layout. Slightly used but with 2 years guarantee for 20 friggin bucks at the moment....

They only ship to germany ( Would so like a Das Keyboard Ultimate Silent! And i can see one is out for about 40€ right now.

Nah, I just checked their website. They might say so on ebay, but their webshop delivers everywhere. Don't worry, they will ship it to outside Germany as well. If in doubt, you could mail them first but it is clear from the website. Just diff. shipping costs will apply.

Then again those out of their website are quite pricey. There's of course the possibility of using a German geekhacker to buy the board and send it to you internationally.

Don't neglect to look at the descriptions. Some may be 30 day returns but others have key combos that don't work, scratches, need more juice, etc.

I wonder if it's worth 20eur for those blank keycaps on that disfunctional board. anyone tried a filco board with das keycaps?

You ar right. When I was looking for them, all the ones that were sold were in top notch condition aside from maybe a few scratches or what (like mine) and all had media keys.

I have recently re-checked the offers on ebay and it seems like getdigital.de is nearing the point where there is no more stock of the Das with Media Keys.
From the last 4 listed boards, only 1 had media keys (you can see that from the product description where it somewhere says "This keyboard has 2 windows keys" --> no FN key --> no media keys).

So read the product description carefully or post the link to the auction here and I will check it out for u.

Problem for me would rather be how we handle this. I am not that proficient with the whole paypal thingy. I mean you could just bid on ebay and get the board. Then you pay to the company giving them my address. So far so good

But at this point I would want the shipping costs from you (which is less important) and you would want some re-assurance that I actually send the board to you (which is pretty important).

Not sure how to figure this out. Maybe I should take a page out of iMav's book and work with some faith in humanity. Risk for me to do that would be rather small (shipping price) but not so small for u (board price)...

If u have an idea, I am open to it

This one however does NOT have the media keys. In the description it says that "This keyboard has 2 windows keys"

which means it's the one without media keys.

Their stock of media-key Das' is running low apparently
