Removing legs on IBM model M

Hi!

By legs i mean those things on the back that you clip down to make the keyboard higher. I have just recived 2 keyboards. One, basicly like new(but with only one leg and even that one broken) and not in very good state but with both legs. i have tryed to take off the legs from the broken one but i'm afraid i might brake them. Is it even possible to take them off?

Flip the leg up.  Take your right hand thumb and press on the left side of the leg to your right and it should just pop out.

Right/left is not all that important but pushing it sideways is the trick.

THAT'S...WHAT...SHE...
...SAID!

...Phew.

I faced the same problem recently, merging two boards to make one perfect and one rough. The board that started out in the best condition had a missing foot. I found it so hard to remove a foot that I just made the other board into the perfect one. :ohwell: I normally find a way round these things, but there seemed to be a real risk of damage so I took the sensible approach.

If only if I could find my handbook...

Thanks! I'm gonna try that. But yeah the other keyboard is in bad shape so i used it quite a lot for parts. :) I really have to preserve every 1393669 that i find, it's a Slovenian keyboard. about 15 years ago there were a LOT of these keyboards, like 80% of offices had them. in like 2000 most offices "upgraded" to newer PCs and these keyboards were sent to be recycled, that really sucks. So whenever i see one of 1393669 i do everything i can do to get it.
