But what’s the situation with GMK Highlight anyway? I’ve heard some rumors about GMK Windbreaker coming up soon, but who knows if that’s true?! Either way, I’d be fully on board for GMK Highlight.

* Now that I think about it, maybe that rumor actually comes from GMK Highlight itself, like it’s being seen as a sort of Windbreaker replacement? I need enlightenment!

The video link that was posted above shows a stream where he said October, but it is almost Jan and still nothing? Maybe this is because of the R2 of Windbreaker? Would really love to hear if this is dead or not.

Project is still alive.
I've been just been awaiting a while for the second round of keycap sample colours, which has taken a lot longer than I thought.
GMK has been contacting suppliers to source materials to maximise the saturation/vividness without breaching REACH regulations.
I didn't really want to this project to go straight into groupbuy without having another sample round first.
Will post an update when I have news on when this happens.

Hi,
Sincere apologies for my lack of replies.
I just wanted to drop in to say this set is still happening, but it has admittedly taken me a while due to me taking my sweet time on samples.
I was satisfied with some colours, but not all colours in previous rounds, so I've been seeking real life samples/references from other existing sets that could serve as a basis. As you may have seen in prior posts, I've re-adjusted the whole colourway a few times now (down to just 5 colours), for a more consistent overall look whilst keeping the original vision's playfully chaotic energy.

Some of the colour samples sent so far that are approved are extremely vivid, so it makes it more demanding to ensure the other adjacent colours don't end up looking completely dull/washed out by simple virtue of being in proximity next to them.
Super hopeful the next samples get as close as possible within GMK's technical abilities for brightness, but yeah can't promise any date set at the moment for anticipated groupbuy.

Whilst I'm here, I've had time to reflect on the kitting:
For now, I'm only set on the base kit and novelty kit. If there's any tweaks, it'd be very minor.

Novelty kit - I'm likely to cull the windowed non-stepped caps lock novelty. In two minds about the "Hi" novelty, and if I should see if there's any viability in moving it to base, or extensions.

Extension kit - it's basically a spacebar kit with windowed keys. Looking to cut a majority of the R1 windowed keys (as they are only UV printed legends), in favor of inclusion of Cherry icon 1u keycaps.

Relegendables kit - inclusion remains debatable. I wonder if: A) there would be sufficient interest so it can reach MOQ, and, B) if UV-printing the post-it note novelty legend on all the keys so it's not completely blank would be a fun way to make the relegendables all look like "sticky notes"

'International' kit - No particular promises on a NorDeUK kit at this stage until it's closer to GB date and the relevant regional vendors are able to support it at that time.
