Product Background:
Danse Macabre is a keycap set inspired by the Memento Mori theme from medieval art, reflecting the fragility of life and the inevitability of death. The design combines translucent ruby red, deep black, and metallic gold to create a jewel-like aesthetic, evoking the solemn beauty of medieval artwork.

Design Concept:
We utilized new manufacturing techniques to achieve a translucent ruby red effect, ensuring depth in the black and gold elements. Our goal was to fuse modern technology with historical symbolism, creating keycaps that are both visually striking and meaningful.

Designer:
The designer, Amamiya, has worked with us multiple times, delivering exceptional designs. For Danse Macabre, the inspiration came from last year’s Taiwan earthquake, which deepened the designer’s reflection on life’s fragility. Each detail in the set reflects this profound connection to the theme of mortality.

Interview with Amamiya:
Q: What was the inspiration behind Danse Macabre? Why did you choose this theme?
A: The inspiration came from the reflection on the fragility of life. After the Taiwan earthquake last year,I realized how close death is to us, which led me to choose Memento Mori as the theme to remind people to cherish every moment. The translucent red symbolizes the liveliness of life, the black represents death, and the gold reflects the beauty of life's fleeting nature.

Q: What key elements are in the Danse Macabre design?
A: The design incorporates skulls, roses, thorns, and other Memento Mori symbols, balanced with gold accents to represent life. The contrast of ruby red and deep black, alongside the gold, reflects the cyclical nature of life and death.

Q: How did you achieve the design's visual effects?
A: We worked closely with manufacturers to perfect the translucent ruby red and ensure that the black had the right depth. The gold accents were achieved using a new metallic ink, mimicking ancient gilding techniques. This process was both a technical challenge and an artistic creation.

Q: What challenges did you face during production?
A: The biggest challenge was adjusting the ruby red and black balance. After over 20 coloradjustments, we achieved the desired translucent effect. The durability of the gold accents was also a concern, but we solved it by applying a protective layer. We also chose thicker PBT material to improve the sound quality of the keycaps.

Production Challenges and Solutions:
We faced several challenges, especially in achieving the ruby red transparency and black depth. After more than 7 color adjustments, we found the perfect balance. We also addressed the durability of the gold accents by applying a protective coating. Finally, the PBT material was thickened to enhance the sound quality of the keycaps.

Final Thoughts:
Danse Macabre is more than just a keycap set—it's a reflection on the fragility of life, reminding us to cherish every moment. We hope you enjoy this design, and we look forward to hearing your feedback!

The website already has reviews for this and there's no IC form, what's going on here?

Yeah this seems strange. There does look to be a slight color difference on the alphas but it looks to be the same set.
