Some Companies Really DONT Want Your Business

For the time being I am not going to post the companies name but this is absurd.

I contacted a company regarding a IBM 1386304 Terminal Keyboard and they said yeah I got em but they keep giving me the run around when I enquire about the build date of the boards that they have available.

They insist in asking how am I going to ship it and how am I going to pay but they dont want to show me what they have in stock.

I hope to see some response as they said they will again check their stock and emailed me.

Prostitutes also don't like to give their age and want cash up front.

May not be the best analogy here.....

What... all I said I want anything from 85 and if possible June or earlier

I hope that they answer tomorrow

Newegg once called me a credit card thief and banned my account from their website when I placed a $60 order for a video game that I had gotten thousands of dollars and dozens of successful orders submitted to in the past. The shipping address was my billing address in my name.

Long story short, it was resolved with some hair pulling and a $25 apology credit on a reorder.

It was a nice gesture after they accused me of a felony and I spent several hours of my time between my credit card issuer and Newegg (where it was determined Newegg had totally dropped the ball).

I also had to explain to a gift recipient why I didn't have anything to give them. Luckily they took it well and didn't mind that it was a day late.

Well I got to admit it they didnt respond even after a left plenty emails.
Original company was RJR Electronics.

I went with another company now called CodeMicro

All I want is another 1386304 that feels the same as my June board!

sounds to me like you were asking for a specific "creation date" which is exactly like cpu binning. In the cpu overclocking world, great overclocks are achieved and reported by the "bin" or creation date of that specific batch of cpu's, this is listed, model number blah blah. Many companies have a policy to never fulfil a request by a customer that either asks or wants specific bins. (probably too much hassle, do it for one customer got to do it for everyone) It's probably one of their policies, i know your gonna say well they could just tell me that too, who knows, i'm just throwing out theories.

Just to guess at their perspective -- they'd rather take orders from people who just want "one of X" and cough up a credit card. Somebody asks them to actually inspect each individual part to gather some obscure code, because they want to buy a specific variant of X... (1) it's a hassle, (2) there's a good chance they'll be asked a SECOND obscure question they don't really understand and have to go through the inventory again, and (3) the customer is clealy picky and thus considered more likely to be unsatisfied or return it. Most companies' willingness to deal with such customers goes up with the price of the item.

Best of luck breaking through their torpor.

Still, not responding or planting a loop is lame. They could at least be upfront if there's a policy to that effect.
