SA Teletype
Inspired by the Teletypes of the 50s SA Teletype is an all R3 keycap set aimed at 40% keyboards with an inclusive monokit, full size adaptor kit and novelty legends serving as a throwback to 50s. Designed by the wonderful Piperaceae out of a appreciation for the 40s community, Teletype was born!

Inspiration

Piper set out first with the idea of the Teletype typewriters from the 50s including the KSR-28 and and the successor the KSR-33, the modifier legends were inspired by the text from those machines. Pulling inspiration from the colors of the machines and the legends, Teletype was born. KSRs were in themselves 40% type writers with their eccentric keytop layout and legends, so what better to serve as its modern reincarnation than a 40s monokit to fit any sized 40% or larger!

Due to lower than expected demand for the fullsize addon kit all 3 vendors have decided to cancel the addon kit. All individuals who've placed an order for the fullsize addon have been refunded. We are continuing to push forward with only the 40s/Ortho Base Kit and are excited to see folks get this into their hands later this year.

Thank you to Saber Keebs, Keeb Supply, and ProtoTypist for taking on an admittedly commercially niche set, with weird legends, and geared exclusively towards smaller boards. There were points I wasn't sure if something like this was going to viable, so I'm glad y'all had my back and believed in this.

Thank you too to everyone who bought this, who supported this, and to the fellow designers who have been cheering this on behind the scenes. MadMax13 especially deserves a shoutout for promoting this everywhere he could this past week.

Not only is this my first successful GB outside of SP's own storefront, it's the first uniform SA set in several years that wasn't a small private run. And the first SA set in general to sell exclusively through third-party vendors, without SP's involvement, in almost as long! I'm hoping this paves the way for more vendor runs of SA sets, because I have something else in the works for y'all very soon.

SA Teletype has officially closed! We achieved 75 total orders between orders and extras for each vendor! We will be submitting our total to Signature Plastics over the next few days and start the process of producing the kits!
