Buckling-spring keypress unintentional repeat
« on: Fri, 05 November 2010, 14:08:41 »
On my Lexmark M15, I now have two keys that sometimes register twice for a single physical keypress. (The right-hand right-arrow and the period.)

What are possible causes? Is a Unicomp refurb job likely to fix it? Might the switches be at the end of the road?

Since key bounce is rather unlikely with BS 'boards, it might be time to look at those rivets...
Hardware in signatures clutters Google search results. There should be a field in the profile for that (again).

This message was probably typed on a vintage G80-3000 with blues. Double-shots, baby. :D

I'm not sure an M15 has rivets. The board is not curved.
I've never opened one though -- too precious.
