Hi all,

I have there reviews of Model M's, Unicomp, Topre and Das Keyboards that I've done over the last few years.

I should have done some videos of the Filco Cherry Blue and Brown keyboards while I had them, but never got around to it before I sold those. Oh well.

Cool reviews. I watched your 86U review earlier this week, and after watching it again I noticed that the space bar wasn't resting evenly on the keyboard, or am I seeing things?

You're absolutely right! I've tried removing and re-seating it but it still lays a bit crooked. I'm not sure why.

Darnit! YouTube terminated my account. I'm trying figure out why. I may need to create a new account and upload all my keyboard vids again. Sigh.

The same reason google adsense terminates users. they feel like you are generating illegitimate traffic and therefore you called down the youtube banhammer. either that or they just dislike you and decided "lets turn his account off -smugface-"

I'm pretty upset about it since my keyboard videos (and other vids too) were pretty popular and had a lot of views.

I may have to create another YouTube account and re-upload everything again.

I thought Google was not supposed to be evil? I feel like I've been thrown in jail and not told why. I can't believe they terminated my account without even giving me a reason.

I would like to formally welcome you to the internet run by Google and Ebay. They reserve the right to kick you out at any moment without warning or reason. The best thing you can do is send an email to them asking for an explanation, the problem with uploading them all again is that now that they have been removed/flagged re-uploading even from another account auto-flags again. They are seriously painful in that regard but see if you can send them a message and perhaps you can get it cleared up. WARNING this can take a long time to get a response.

I don't think the content of my videos was the problem at least for most of them anyways. I think it was because I had some affiliate links in the description fields on some. Do you think re-uploading the videos again and not having those links would be okay? Do they really check if it's the same video?

They hashcheck all things being uploaded so the exact same file would automatically register when it finishes. Unfortunately since I didn't see what they looked like before they were removed I cannot say what was wrong in those cases.

Did you get any email confirmation on the email you used to register the account?

Yes, I did get an email but all it says was "terminated due to repeated or severe violations of our Community Guidelines and/or claims of copyright infringement." and no further explanation.

I really don't think I had any bad content though. I think it was just the links I had in the descriptions for some videos.

Should I risk re-uploading some of them? I certainly can't re-create them and I had put in hundreds of hours to make 'em.

I don't remember which video of yours it was, but I recall watching one of them a couple times when trying to decide between cherry blues and browns. Thanks for putting them out there, even if Youtube decided to be a ****.

If you were to just clip off a half second or add a half second to the beginning it would change the file hash and that would allow you to re-upload most likely without any issue, but it would really help to know why they removed it to begin with. They usually send at least 1 warning, perhaps in the spam and getting auto deleted?

I don't think those were mine since I never posted videos on Cherry Blue or Brown keyboards. I did own those and should have done videos for them, but never did.
