Hello guys, I have been working on developing a full set of EC Parts for a long time, but the Dome was the first part to complete testing.
After numerous tests, I believe we can finally begin introducing our products!
Currently, the latest samples of the product are undergoing adjustments.
We expect that around December 15th, we will start showcasing the final version samples of the Sliders and Housings
and begin collecting feedback from all of you!
Introduction
MetaPulse is a comprehensive ecosystem solution meticulously developed by MetaKeebs for the Electrostatic Capacitive (EC) keyboard domain.
It is designed to provide a premium, highly compatible, and fully integrated suite of EC components.
The ecosystem includes core parts such as PCBs, sliders, housings, domes,
and also incorporates forward-looking R&D projects like OEM keycaps and non-silenced sliders.
Our mission is to redefine the EC keyboard experience by creating the optimal EC ecosystem
which delivering exceptional product quality, broad compatibility, diverse options, and disruptive cost-effectiveness.
Sliders & Housings
This design integrates both MX and Topre styles while overcoming the limitations of existing solutions in each market.
Notably, we have implemented an innovative structural improvement in the 1u housing.
OEM Compatibility:
- The first custom EC parts adopting Topre-style designs, including OEM-style stabilizers and OEM-style sliders.
- Completely eliminates concerns over the quality or wear of second-hand OEM stabilizers.
- All silenced sliders provide a 4.0 mm total travel (when paired with a 0.5 mm silencing ring).
- No dome pre-press.
- Housings are compatible with standard 1.2 mm plates.
MX Compatibility
- Fully eliminates MX keycap interference, supporting PBT keycaps up to 1.7 mm wall thickness.
- Keycap height aligns with standard MX switches, enabling seamless conversion from an MX board to an EC kit.
Stablizers
- Available in both OEM and MX versions, sharing the same housing.
- The MX version is interference-free and optimized for 1 mm silencing rings to enhance the acoustic rebound of 2u keys.
- The spacebar stabilizer receives special tuning to eliminate bottom-out and top-out clatter
(pads are still recommended for the best silencing performance).
Structural Innovation: The Snappable Housing
We introduced an innovative Snappable Structure. The 1u housing features a novel 'Snappable' design.
Both ends can be snapped off to ensure maximum compatibility across different builds.
This structure is directly inspired by the perforated tear-lines on soda crackers.
Key benefits include:
- O-Ring Compatibility: Supports traditional O-ring mounting on a Topre-size housing.
- Inner-Lock Screw Clearance: Eliminates complex trimming during MX-to-EC conversions.
- The break-away section can simply be snapped off to clear inner-lock screw interference.
- MX PCB Stabilizer Support: Enables MX stabilizers on the spacebar and 2u modifier keys thanks to the added internal clearance.
Some Q&A:
Q: Does this structure make the two sides of the housing too fragile, possibly allowing them to be snapped off by hand?
A: Based on our testing, this structure is not fragile and cannot be snapped off by hand. You would need a tool like needle-nose pliers to easily cut it.
Q: After cutting it, will the dome still be held in place correctly?
A: Yes, it will! Even after cutting, there are still small feet on both the left and right sides designed to hold the dome, ensuring its stability is maintained.
Dome:
We offer two tactile-focused custom dome series, produced using high-precision, high-cost molds to ensure consistency and quality.
• Red-Series (RS): Medium, rounded tactile feedback—similar to OEM Hybrid Snow domes.
• Blue-Series (BS): Modeled after OG-BKE, featuring a heavy, pronounced tactile bump.
Diverse Options: Across both series, we offer 12–15 pressure weights from 25g to 75g, available in multiple colors.
Zero-Cut Packaging: Pre-sorted into 1u, 2u, 3u, and 4u units, allowing assembly of 60%–80% layouts with zero cutting required.
Material: Made from high-durability silicone for longevity and resistance to aging.
Since everyone is already quite familiar with Our RS-Dome, here we will focus on introducing the BS-Dome, which features a BKE-like style
First, according to our testing and data, our 55g Dome and the OG-BKE-55g are nearly identical in tactility, feel, and weight.
Achieving this—given the shift from rubber to silicone material, and the inherent instability of silicone—is truly an excellent result

Disruptive Pricing StrategyA complete 60%/65% MetaPulse set which including housings, sliders, domes, springs, and all other required components will tentatively cost around
only 60 USD.
All components are also available to purchase individually, offering exceptional value and flexibility.
