Good/best off the shelf MX keycap sets readily available.
« on: Sat, 20 December 2025, 13:15:45 »
I just got a Keychron K8 HE to replace an AESCO A83 bought a couple of weeks ago.

The leds are North facing which does not illuminate the South facing Functions keys fontsas I would like. So I'm thinking to use that as an opportunity to get better keycaps. So...

What are the best bang for the buck shine thru keycaps (Higher end of the spectrum without being crazy expensive) that are readily available?
Where can I get them.

If anyone preferably in Canada is interested in a near new AESCO A83, just PM me.

North-facing LEDs can be tricky for shine-through consistency. Since you're looking for 'bang for the buck' without being crazy expensive, have you looked into Ducky PBT doubleshot sets or Razer Phantom caps? The bottom half of the Phantoms is translucent, which might help catch more light from those North-facing switches for your legends.
