I just restored a Leading Edge DC-3014 which was badly liquid-damaged in its previous life and I'm typing on it right now just fine, but as you can tell from the subject title the NKRO does not work and the matrix is very bad without it. For example I can't hit shift, ctrl and alt at the same time. It allows a minimum of 2 key rollover and maximum of 6 at the moment. I can hit 6 keys if they're in a row or a column but if I hit two in one row and a third in another it blocks. I tested this over native AT on my 486 and 386 computers so it's not any converter issue. I went over the board with my multimeter and confirmed all the diodes and resistors work and checked all the traces running to and between them and the whole PCB appears to be fine. I have been stumped over this for a while and I would love to hear any other thoughts on what could be causing this. I'm starting to think it is one of those two chips which were located under the spill area. I already have spares on order with accompanying sockets but I would love to hear any second suggestions before I commit to desoldering an entire chip.
