Back from the dead: Holy moly Crush80
« on: Sat, 21 February 2026, 10:19:46 »
Haven't been around for many years and was mainly a lurker back then. Tried a bunch of keyboards, landed on Filco MJ2 TKL w/ Cherry MX Browns, then disappeared.

I randomly stumbled upon GH again and my oh my is the switch explosion insane. Picked up an AULA F99 and Wobkey Crush80 from Amazon. Going to keep the Crush80 (what a solid board...wow) and pick up some different switches. Crush80 has Kailh Cocoa's.

Mainly stopping by to say hi + wow, but if folks have any recommendations for what switches I should try since there are like 9000, guidance would be greatly appreciated and welcome. I think linears are the way.

The keyboard world has definitely gone wild over the last few years. The Crush80 is a fantastic choice. If you’re leaning linear, you should check out Gateron Oil Kings, WS Morandi, or HMX switches — super smooth and great sound profiles. Coming from MX Browns, modern linears will probably feel surprisingly refined.
