Over two years after the initial IC, and with the main goal of bringing the Prussian Blue colorway back to life accomplished, GMK CYL Prussian Alert is finally here!
Featuring OG Icon modifiers and a custom grey/white base in place of the usual Text+Icon and beige, the set perfectly complements the Prussian Blue tone.
And if you’re into Cyrillic and low-contrast aesthetics, the alternative Alpha Kit is an absolute chef’s kiss.

Colors

Here are some updated, more color-accurate photos of the samples.

Keep in mind that Prussian Blue is a really complex color to capture in photos, as it shifts heavily depending on lighting conditions and viewing angle. I’d suggest looking at NoPun’s (the designer of GMK Prussian Blue) sample photos, since he already showcased the Prussian Blue sample under various lighting conditions:

Hopefully it’s now more clear why I chose to go with custom base colors instead of standard beige, and why I believe they complement Prussian Blue much better.











More information:

- The Prussian Blue color is the same used in GMK CYL Prussian Blue (RAL Prussian Blue).

- Grey: RAL Mortar Grey / White: RAL Shadow White.

- The Alpha Kit features UV-printed Cyrillic sublegends, identical to those used in GMK CYL WoB Red Cyrillic.

- You can build two keyboards with Base + Alpha Kit.

Hi!

So, if I understand your request correctly, you would want me to add an “Alertless” tilde key (~ Ё) in the Alpha Kit. This would be to use it, I guess, in conjunction with the Alertless Kit to make a non-alert variant?

If that’s your request, let me explain (with a lot of yapping) why there isn’t one:

Let’s start by saying that there are other keys with Cyrillic sublegends in the numrow besides the tilde, so I would need to include those as well for it to make sense, but: it still wouldn’t work with the other “Alertless” keys, because you would want grey-on-white legends instead of blue-on-white.

This means that for the whole “alertless Cyrillic” variant to make sense, I would need to include the entire numrow in grey-on-white with blue Cyrillic sublegends. I already considered this, but it just wasn’t cost viable to include it in an already relatively expensive kit.

I legitimately would like to understand what your use case would be for a blue-on-grey (~ Ё) tilde key, considering you can only do an “Alert” numrow, because I can’t really think of one that makes sense in my mind.

Maybe you’re talking about a modifier-colored tilde?

In that case, the modifier-colored tilde isn’t there because, since you can only do “Alert”, it would break the whole alert-row aesthetic. It’s not something I’ve ever seen used together with an alert row, which is why I assumed you wanted to make an alertless variant with it.

As for a modifier-colored R2 1.50U Pipe (let’s include this too in case someone else mentions it lol), I decided not to include it because:

1. it’s technically an alpha key, and
2. the correct color swap would be white-on-grey (not blue-on-grey) with blue sublegend, which would make it inconsistent with all the other blue-on-grey modifiers.
