Cherry MX Browns in ATX

I was wondering if there was anyone in Austin near the UT campus who had a cherry mx brown keyboard he/she wouldn't mind letting me try out. I've been eying various keyboards and have been thinking about buying a filco brown but I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger for $130 when I've never tried a cherry mx brown (much less a mechanical keyboard) before.

Compaq MX-11800's are usually affordable on ebay and they all have Cherry Brown MX switches.

There are a few folks in your area.  You might want to PM chuckading; he also has some Topres you can try, too.  I don't know the next time I'll be in Austin, but if you come down to SA, you can check out my 'boards (Cherry browns and Topres).  I live far north, so the drive doesn't completely suck, especially if you go 290 to 281 South.

BTW, hook 'em horns (c/o 2000)!  Too bad our football team sucks ass this year.
