This keyboard is in good shape, all keys are in place, has a PS/2 connector, and was working when pulled, so it will not be DOA.

That keyboard don't look like one of the rare ones. It was probably made between 1988 and 1992 (There were a few white labels made before and after that).

I think the guy accidentally took the copyright date instead of the mfg. date from the label. These keyboards were copyrighted in 1984, but Model M's were only manufactured from 1985 and newer.

Nope. The older PC-compatible Model M's exclusively used 5-pin "AT" plugs. As far as I know, all white/gray labels used PS/2 plugs, but the Lexmark blue labels have come with both.

You could easily attach a PS/2 connector to almost any 101-key Model M though. The cord is removeable, so if you had cables with "AT" or PS/2 plugs, you could stick whichever cable you wanted in the keyboard.

Were the Model M's that Lexmark produced 1391401's? I know that Lexmark produced Model M's that came with "AT" cables.

My Lexmark 1398601 came with an AT, and this seems true as others report that 1398601's come with AT cables. However, it may be a cable from a 1390131, as the guy I bought it from had 2 Ms.
