Are you sure you are not reading stuff into this? "80%" is also the name for "tenkeyless" in Chinese keyboard lingua. Just seems like an odd coincidence and a stupid thing to do if they are reffering to the amount of brown switches/black switches in percentages.

That's also because at some point I turned around copied some of his format.  Friendly competition and dialogue results in greater keyboard knowledge.  Too bad OCN Mods don't know that.

Ah, I just wish we got the traffic OCN does. That Guide will hit 1M views soon!

i don't think so, it will, but is going to be long long way to go. look at GH keyboard section, >50 people viewing the thread. everyday.. compare to OCN keyboard section?right now 25 (5 members & 20 guests).
even after midnight, GH keyboard section have at least more then >25 people are viewing

i found that, after OCN open Keyboard as a sub thread and the missing of lmnop[wonder where she gone], OCN mech kb guide are getting very inactive.
and GH is getting better and better.
i like OCN, but when comes to mech kb, i really like GH a lot better then OCN,
you get better and faster respond when you create a thread for help over here.
So...overall, soon or later, GH will reach 1mil views pretty easily IMO.

Apparently the brown duckys have cherry mx brown switches for the spacebar

How that compared to say a cherry mx black spacebar ??

not sure what u mean.
what u want to compare?
cherry mx brown works on space bar too.
60g force on black switches 45 on brown switches.
brown provide tactile feedback, black no?

well i read before people were opinionated that blacks are the worse switch for spacebar.

clears the best.

So hows a brown switch rated for a spacebar ???

I like to use a black spring with brown stem for the spacebar switch, on a board with browns. It's much lighter than either of the grey switches, and a bit lighter and smoother than a clear.

brown switch on space bar doesn't feel as "snappy" i'd opt for a stronger spring. (if you hate the brown switch on space bar, get a black spring and swap it, imo)

well i personally think that black switches better on space bar, because i always bottoming up those big keys easily, with black switches, u require more force to bottoming up the keys, which will help to prevent from bottoming up the when hitting those big keys like spacebar.
reduce the noise generated from overall typing too.

i should clarify this is using cherry stabilizers, which i believe are more stable and require some oomph as compared to just tabs the filco's use (and prolly the duckys too?). basically the thin metal bar.

your based in mala? i guess find a place where you can order a black cherry switch (or a couple) and just do a spring swap, make a tool that can open up the cherry switch and just replace the spring.
if based in the us, can use mouser.com they're pretty awesome.

Thanks for the link!
I was looking for a site that sold switches. Leopold has sets but were a little pricey and didn't sell singles.
