Help with disassembling a Ducky 9008?
« on: Wed, 01 December 2010, 23:34:10 »
Hi guys,

Got my Ducky 9008 from PCHome a few days ago, and its great, except the spacebar keyswitch is a bit flakey.

Postage back to Taiwan isn't really worth it considering I'm handy with a soldering iron and have no quams aout swapping my spacebar switch with my insert key switch :)

However, I can only see three visible screws. Removing them seemingly does little to the overall structural integrity of the board!

Has anyone taken one of these apart?

Thank you Ripster!

Got the beastie apart... debating whether or not to try my hand at a different keyswitch (vs the brown one that is on it). Possibly a clear.

Interestingly the spacebar keyswitch seems to work OK when its perfectly flat, but it does not work at all when the board is tilted 90 degrees upright (yet all the other keys on the board do).

Anyone got any ideas as to why?
