Cheap Mechanical & Free/Low_Cost Shipping? (first time)
« on: Thu, 02 December 2010, 02:37:38 »
Hi there, i am interested in buying a decent keyboard.
I am typing a lot, cause of programming. Also PC is my life :$

I came in contact with Iron Technologies, because i was interested in Scorpius M10 (afaik its one of the, value for money, because of it's low price)

But the difficult part of the story is that i am @Greece. So i'll have extra costs etc for shipping.

Do you know any company that ships free in Greece? Or at a low cost? I Dont want to pay more than 70 EUR for a first contact with mechanical keyboards.

(iron technology answered me:
Shipping cost to Greek: 45,50 EUR (if you have a DHL/UPS/FEDEX account, we can ship with your forwarder) but they haven't yet answered me for the keyboard price)
- for not making any misunderstandings, iOne answered me pretty fast for the shipping cost)

I was quite disappointed from SteelSeries Support. I make a simple question before 2 months and yet i have no answer from "SteelSeries' Guru".

That's my story, sorry for this big post..

please tell me if is there any "shop" to buy with free shipping or low cost shipping and any cheap keyboard models for a "first contact", so i can decide if i like mechanical keyboards so i can go safe for a bigger buy, like Filco or Topre Realforce.

(also i love 10keyless)

thanks for your time and help :)

congrats for this great community!

You might want to look at the thread on PChome. While not in europe (or in english) they have a promotion going for $20 international shipping. My order for a Tenkeyless Filco came out to around $140 USD shipped.

Trying to find Steelseries 6Gv2 localy might be best bet, atleast here it is...

Other option is trying to find G80 from Germany or UK...
So I should add something useless here yes? Ok, ok...

PChome, with only an extra $20 for shipping.. Sounds GREAT!!!

But, also, i just remembered that a friend of me will go to NY at 2/2011, so i guess that i can give him the money and he will bring me back, a keyboard of my choice..

maybe i am over-thinking of that buy.. but if i will spend >70 EUR for a decent keyboard, maybe it's better to wait and buy a keyboard from US, when my friend will go there..

so i guess that i can go for a best buy around 150-200 EUR max.. (i guess 150 EUR would be enough)

(sorry i am pretty confused :$)

Thekeyboardco.com offers 12.70£ shipping to greece, which is around 15€. On other hand Filcos aren't specialy cheap and they are bit out of stock...

Filco Zero, would be all in all bit over 70€, don't know if this is a decent board for starter...

Personaly went for Filco Majestouch FI/SW which including shipping costed around 154€
