Is anyone interested in Ducky vs. filco tenkeyless showdown?
« on: Thu, 02 December 2010, 22:57:04 »
Well now that I received my filco 80% from PCHome I can compare both head to head.

If anyone is interested let me know and I'll do comparison photos and stuff this weekend. I'm just gauging interest because if I do a photo shoot I'll have to return my ducky to stock keys.

Initial Filco thoughts:

I did a few runs on type racer with the filco... yea it's pretty nice. The stock keycaps are much nicer than the ducky's. Must be that coating ripster mentioned.

I sure am interested! A showdown should help me decide if I should go for the Filco or get another Ducky 1087 with blues.

I'll get my Cherry doubleshots any moment now. I'm going to have to try if they fit the Ducky 1087.

Yes, please make one
I'm torn between Ducky and Filco Tenkeyless
maybe this showdown will help me make my decision between the two products

If the Filco can justify the cost like $110 vs $75 that would be good

The stock keycaps on Filcos are better than Ducky keycaps? I always thought that was a weak point of Filcos. I prefer my SP keycaps anyday.

I just realized that panda-r did a bunch a comparison shot in his white ducky review. If anyone wants any specific information or photos let me know and I will post them.

All these Filco clone keyboards are pretty similar.

I'm waiting for the HHKB clones.

HHKB clones would make my day :D

This.  I thought about getting a Ducky, but like ripster said, they seem pretty similar, and I have been there and done that.  What I want is an HHKB with Cherry browns.

I would still like to see a comparison, but I don't think there would be much of a difference, in my case, that I would want to get one.  I was speaking more in terms of the Geekhack veterans that have tried a bunch of keyboards already.

My  first choice would be a HHKB with BS keys, but a HHKB with brown cherries would be pretty sweet too.
Hmm. Brown Cherries.
