This is a steal. If you've been thinking about a full-size Realforce, I'd jump on this.

If it would have been at this price when I was in the market, I would have jumped on it.  I like the white, but the funky typeface on some of the keys would have driven me nuts.  The 86UB is at a great price, too, surprisingly enough.

I'm sorta half-temped to get a white Filco.  I want to see what the Leopolds are like, too, since I have already been down the Filco path before.

Are you referring to the 104? Probably a similar licensing issue that forced him to stop selling the 87U.  I don't feel like I am missing anything with the 103.  There is a big drop in functionality between the 87 and the 86.

But the 104 is a really useless upgrade over the 103. The menu key is basically useless for most people.

While the 87u has the internal numpad over the 86u, the actual extra key isn't really meaningful.

At least, in my mind.

This, actual lock lights, and the ability to map Ctrl to Caps Lock.  The 87 is a much better keyboard, IMO.  I would have bought it over the 103 if it were still available.

You can map the ctrl to caps lock on the 86U as well. Just sayin.

Wow, the rare PandaPedoBear.

Gives "foraging for shoots" an all new meaning.

hey that only applies if we can establish that I'm significantly older than my bamboo shoots. Otherwise it's fair game!

Only if it's well-manicured.  I'm a big fan of the landscaping they've got going on in Brazil.  A real simple, clean look.

In my culture, we prefer foraging through a forest to find the sweet reward. Bamboo always tastes better when you gotta work for it.

Currency conversion rates may have something to do with this, as well, depending on when EK reordered the product.

Even though I know EliteKeyboards is really trying to move their old stock, but if I had not gotten the 103UB 55g a few weeks back, I would've totally jumped on this.  Then I'd buy the 86UB at pre-order price and I'd be golden.

Oh, well.  That's just too late now.
