ISO layout + Cherry blues + non-shining blank keys?
« on: Thu, 16 December 2010, 12:03:22 »
Dear geekhackers,

I'm looking for a keyboard:
- with ISO (European) layout;
- with Cherry blues;
- with blank keys;
- whose keys are not going to start shining after a bit (like Filco keys do)?

Does it exist?

Thanks.

Das Keyboard II (rebranded, blank Cherry G80-3000), hard to find nowadays though.

What a fast reply!  Thanks.  I don't like its shiny case, but I will put up with it.  Does this model have issues with fast typing?

Forgot to mention: if you know some suppliers of blank Cherry keycaps for Cherry keyboards who ships to Italy, that could be an option.

Das II has no shiny case, its the old model and kinda bulky (since based on Cherry g80-3000). But they keys are high quality pom that will not go shiny.

The DAS II looks like this:

The shiny one is the Das III. Anyway, this was released 5(?) or so years ago by now, and its pretty hard to find them. They appear on eBay now and then. The Das II uses the default Cherry 2-3 key rollover. Its not optimal for gaming, but no issues with typing.

The Keyboard Company has the blank Filco sets for around 35 EUR shipped to Italy from the UK:

Thanks, but Filco keycaps get shiny.
