It appears to be Raptor selling off the inventory.
They are custom-made g80-1800's with NKRO, Cherry Black switches
and some "Afterglow" keycaps .

If someone here buys them at a reasonable price I am interested
in buying a couple ..

Yes, USB only, so 6KRO.

All the same, even though I already have one, I wouldn't mind a couple more!

I've asked the seller if they'll ship to UK.

Do these ship to anywhere else but Germany? I'd be interested to grab a few for my ghetto red mods.

Edit: Shipping only to Germany, Austria and Switzerland. If there are any German geekhackers willing to buy and sell me one or two of these, it'd be awesome.

These are rather annoying to mod because they have skirts around the base of the switches -  you can't open them up without removing the skirts first, either by desoldering or cutting...

This is the second wave. Those in the first wave went for 35-45 Euros. One or two cheap ones too.

Seems to depend on the model. I have two Raptors, both do not have these things around the switches.. I remember reading about it on your mod log and going "wtf".

Maybe it's just the later ones? I bought mine from Danto in July.

My response to them was more like "ohhh, FFS"!

I bought one of these three weeks ago from the same dealer.  40 euro I paid and I watched about 5 or 6 other auctions from the same batch and they went for between 38 and 45 euro.

I pulled one of the keycaps off and tried to find the "skirt" but couldn't see if it had it or not without ripping the entire switch out.  (sorry, not going to try that)  I think the skirt issue is only a problem if you want to mod it.

In my newbish opinion the keyboard is pretty good for the money.  The layout and size is superb and the quality is ok for the money.  Compared to some crappy Logitech or MS thing at the Saturn it's quite a bargain.

The company also had great service.  I had the item within one or two days after they recieved my uberweisung.  It came in a sturdy box.  Nice transaction.

i got 2 from the first round, both with these skirts.
never mind. took me 10 min. to cut the skirts with a sharp blade.
pull it with a screwdriver and down goes the blade.
saw off the numpad like everytime.
waiting now for blues to switchswitch.

sadly these boards comes with lasered keycaps...

I suppose this is how it goes then, because both of the ones I opened had double shot keys:

Old revision: Double shot keys, no skirts
new revision: Lasered keys, skirts

I have no clue what the skirts are for, but I'm guessing they are to reduce switch wobble/flexing. Kinda like a tiny poor-mans plate mount for all of the switches.

Thing is, they're not thick enough to serve that purpose!
The only thing I can think of is to prevent switches popping apart when changing keycaps. Not that that's a common problem :-/
