I ordered a set and paid for it, then remembered i need a keypuller tool so i ordered that too but never got an invoice response.  So i just need to check the status of my orders to make sure they are still in.

Nope - I picked out my keys, pmed 7bit_vote my order, received the invoice, paid iMav for the keys, and now I'm waiting.

 
Ripster's limited mental capacity is well documented on these forums. =P  As John Wayne would say "Life is hard; it's harder if you're stupid."

And no im not calling you stupid...john wayne is.

Sure it wasnt a simple ADD TO CART order process, but i still found it easy enough.  And comparing this order to your single key shamrock order is not fair at all.  Thats like going to a 5 star restaurant and ordering some custom cooked gourmet food and complaining that you ordered a hamburger and fries the other day and it got done quicker.

The only thing imo that made this group buy difficult was lack of images to help visualize what each kit has.  But thats mostly unavoidable as they are custom made and we dont have pictures aside from concept images made in photoshop.

Also, judging by the stuff he has left vs what he originally had, most people figured out how to order just fine.

The confusion is mostly from the OP not being particularly well written, lack of good examples, and no FAQ.  I think this could be run exactly the same way again with a lot less confusion if we just outline things a little more clearly.

I think for the most part this has been handled very well by 7bit.
The only thing that got on my nerves a bit was the multiple deadline extensions. Next time I think setting a more concrete deadline would be better.

At first I was checking this thread every day for progress.. now I just drop by every few weeks or so and see what's going on.

LOL, indeed.  I was checking every day and now I am down to twice a week.  I personally think 7-Bit and the crew did a fantastic job with an immensely complicated order.  50,000 key caps is mind blowing.  

How do you even start to seperate them into piles?
Where do you store the seperate piles?
Who is going to individually pack each key cap in bubble wrap before boxing them?  Thats a lot of scissor action to say the least.
Who is going to make up each order and get it correct every time?  
What will 7-bit do with the rather worringly left over keys after all the orders have been shipped? (a bit like building IKEA furniture)

iMav. Taking the order was definitely difficult, but the most difficult part lies ahead for iMav. I definitely don't envy him for what he has to do!

Also, keypullers have been purhcased for the group buy and will be sent to iMav from geekhack/ebay user 'aming'

I think that was the last part that was iffy, so that means everything ordered is a definite now. All that's left to wait for is the keys to finish production. Good luck with getting everything together iMav!

The very first question you should be asking is: "Are the key caps done yet?"
