just the blanks, it's impossible to have PBT double-shots.

I think the only reason that anyone wouldn't want pbt is material consistency.  So, if space bars are available in pbt, then it might be easier to switch everyone to pbt to avoid having to update existing invoices.  Just something to think about.

Do we know how many blank sets SP has and of what colors?  I'm curious because if they aren't custom making them for us then we might be able to get the blueblank/redblank/etc sets back even if only 2 or 3 people want them.

Yup, ABS please. If I'd only ordered blanks I'd go for PBT but I want to be able to mix my orange blanks with the the other stuff I've ordered (like the orange gamer set) and have it match.

Yes, I know that these are more expansive than newly produced keys, if a minimum of 15 is produced.

I asked about thant and she responded that normal 1-keys are usually sold @ $1 per key and that she cat give us a larger discount.

Send two PMs to 7bit_vote. The first should contain:

There are two other spacebars available if you'd prefer, SPACEBLACK and SPACEORANGE. The second should contain:

EMAIL your email

...where you replace "your email" with the email address you'd like your invoice to be sent to. Don't put any other text in the PMs as it could mean that your vote or email address aren't properly registered which will prolong the whole process. Many people have paid already so I hope that the whole order will be placed with Signature Plastics soon (depending on how the current situation for those ordering blank keys pans out).

I find it hard to fathom that we wouldn't be able to get 10-15 people to buy full blank sets, be it orange or black. Wouldn't this be easier or cheaper?

Many thanks for the exact information.  Can I ask if anyone has any pictures of a Filco with these keys on it (or something close). I would love to see what they look like.

I will also be placing my order for the new keyboard as well.  I understand that the kits will fit either the full size Filco and the tenkeyless versions.

I am starting to feel a keyboard fetish coming on.

Off topic but, I collect computers and have done for many years.  I have some very rare systems in the collection that have some equally weird keyboards.  I would love to take some pics but at the minute the systems are stored so tightly into the warehouse that they are not easy to unpack.  I will try in the future to dig some out and post pics.

there are so many shades of gray... medium gray, light gray, and 2 different grays... so how gray is light gray?

Thanks for the link to good images.  This set is too awesome for me to even start to explain.  It is a perfect retro set and very similar to early CPM/36 machines that I used in the mid 1980's.

Unfortunately we do not have exact matches in both ABS and PBT colors.

We also do not run spacebars in PBT material. Our spacebar tooling is made for ABS material.

And when you want to know why:

When PBT is molded, it shrinks a bit more than ABS does.
The size of the PBT spacebar won't be exactly the same as an ABS spacebar, specifically the mounts will not be in the same location.

Upon further digging in those SP price charts, I discovered more whites... and WCX is listed as Beige on some of them, as white on the others.
