Hey 7bit, it says there are 15 orders for CHERNOBYL at $8 a pop. The thread said it would be $3 at 25 orders. Would it be possible to just double all our orders to bring it past the 25 key threshold and giving us a $2 refund, seems like a win-win cause we get an extra key AND save $2. The same might be true for other keys too.

Chernobyl is now for $5, if 15 are produced.

Edit: Will they centre it themselves or do I need to ensure that the width of the SVG matches the keytop and centre the image myself?

 I will tell them that any SVG should be as large as possible on a key and centered, so it is OK except that I just see that the SVG graphic exceeds the boundary at the bottom!

Oh FFS! I see that your image is clipped at the bottom (and a little on the right). It's clipped when I open it in Opera, but not in Firefox or Inkscape. WTF? I'll play with it some more and see what I can do.

After many iterations and much searching on the web (didn't find anything to help there!), I think that this should work.

The first SVG I uploaded was set at 10.84mm high with no border. Adding some empty space around the edge stopped the appearance of cropping in Opera but I figured that the border might result in a smaller keycap legend (assuming that SP scale the entire document to the keycap and not just the picture within). But in a moment of inspiration I decided I'd try to save the SVG on a much larger scale (500mm high) with no border and it now looks fine in Opera (the only external means of testing that I have) so I'm hoping that SP will scale it down to fit and we'll be fine. If not I'll be looking for my suicide pill!

I know that it's not really a fix as the SVG still looks slightly clipped at the bottom (I hope that it doesn't worsen when SP scale it down) but I'm all out of ideas.

I generally use Inkscape to render bitmap versions of SVG files because every other implementation I've seen is broken or out of date.

There will be only one batch this year.

Production takes 5 weeks. If we are lucky, the 40ft container will arrive in the first week of May 2011. iMav has then got one month to do the collation and shipping, because in June a longer train fully loaded with keyboards will arrive at his packaging and shipping facility.

From what you'd said I thought you might have some insight is all. I've been bumbling around in Inkscape trying to feel my way. I've little interest in doing tutorials at this stage when all I want is to create a little file for a keycap. There's probably something fundamental about SVGs that's causing the apparent cropping and I've yet to find it.

Looking at the SVG markup, there is a weird, unnecessary transform element in there, so I resaved it here in a more minimal format at the correct dimensions. Can you check out that version and see if it works better for you?

Well, I was hoping to have my kid sell them this Summer and really would like to see a sample of the Awesome/Reddit key in real life before then.

The only thing I could do about that, is to ask if they can produce the Awesome and Reddit faces before everything else and ship your load separately straight to you.

I had no response about the kits that should be erased on my vote.

I actually think that with the holydays break 7bit had some things are confusing to me. I'm still receiving my votes without the main updates I did last days. I do not want to have 2 boxes shipped so I can't afford having that many sets on my order since they will not fit on one box.

I voted CLEARBLANKFUN and CLEARBLANKMOD to replace POS since this last kit have 48 pieces and the other two have both in total similar amount of keys.

I just received another invoice and there are no blue blanks on it. On this invoice it says I have $21.00 in my account.

Does this mean the blue blanks aren't happening? How do we go about getting a refund for the remaining amount?
