8-Pin DIN Connector?

Does anyone know what type of protocol would potentially be sent over these big 8-pin DIN connectors (assuming it's not Sun Type5)?

Depends on what kind of keyboard is attached to that plug.

I used to have some kind of all-in-one Amstrad 8088 that used a plug like that.

I don't think Amstrad went higher than 7 pins for keyboards.
