Noob Question! Replacing bad keyswitch ( cherry blue )
« on: Fri, 31 December 2010, 00:27:52 »
I just bought a Razor BlackWidow for $85 3 days ago, and I played a few game on it, and got a good feel for it, and loved it, still do, but there is a problem, the control key worked for about 15min, and then completely stopped working, I am planning on sending it back, but if there is a way to swap the right control keyswitch with the left control keyswitch I'd be happy with it. Coming from an awful $12 dollar dell keyboard I loved the blue switches on the Razer, but that control key I use all the time and can't live without it.
Keyboards:
Das Keyboard Ultimate ( Blue switches, blank )
IBM \'91 Model M White.

Wishlist:
Deck Legend Toxic ( With "Ghetto" Reds )
Poker Keyboard

Until then, software remap Caps Lock to Control and enjoy.

Well I sent it back, when I took it apart to see if the switch might just snap out and be replaceable ( wishful thinking ) I could defiantly tell where it was made. I have since ordered a Das Keyboard Ultimate. After doing some research on mechanical keyboards in general I thought about buying a IBM model M off of ebay, but I kind of want something a little bit newer and as elitekeyboards.com Doesn't have any Filco Keyboards at the moment, I went with the Das Keyboard.
