An old DataHand on eBay

Old DataHands seem to keep popping up on eBay...  Shame they're all in the US or I might be tempted myself.  It could confuse my coworkers even more than my existing setups...

There's some kind of magic box in the picture, which I assume plugs between the hand pieces and the PC.  Does anyone know what interface these use - is it liable to be difficult to attach this to a modern PC?

Conspicuously, the seller doesn't say that it tested good. They don't say that it's untested either.

The seller could be trying to slow-play us with their gosh-golly-what's-this? spiel...

RSI prevention recipe:[/B] Kinesis Contoured, Colemak layout, touch typing, Contour Design Rollermouse,  Logitech TrackMan Wheel, Logitech m570 trackball, "workrave" break timer software, "awesome" window manager, tenkeyless boards, cherry browns, Wang 724 with "ghetto green" ALPS, standing desk and/or comfy adjustable chairs, stress reduction, computer time reduction.

Fun non-ergonomic things: bolt modded Model M Space Saving Keyboards with new springs, Kensington Expert Mouse v7, Unicomp Endurapro, Northgates

That seller knows exactly what he has.
I trolled Geekhack and all I got was an eponymous SPOS.
