You're really addicted to porn, no?

BTW: 2600K, not K2600. ;)

There are times in life that make me want to facepalm.  This would be one of them.

It's like "Back to the roots!" - one clock for everything.

Underclocking is where you want to be anyway, if you care about quality.  My Core i7-930 is way more resonant at 2.0GHz, and the burnt, wooden tones in Fallout New Vegas feel much warmer.
Lovely day for a GUINNESS

What do you want to tell us? That your i7 is faster with a lower clock?

Nah I´m gonna flirt, romance and kuddle this little puppy all the way to 5ghz :) Just orderd a ProlimaTech Megahalem cpu cooler. It´s pretty easy to clock this puppy above 4.5, but to do it quietly. Guess I can use those noiseblockers now that I have lying around somewhere. Well I´ll let you know how it goes.

It's not all snake oil. :O

I think people should buy within their means. A lot of people over spend without even realizing it. To buy a 3000$ DAC or a 5000$ head amp without any prior experience is GOING TO BE a waste of money. Gotta know what you like and have some experience being particular to be even more particular. :O

I wasn't talking about all audiophile equipment, just the stuff like speaker wire risers, wooden blocks you put on your CD players, etc.  That kind of garbage.

So you are saying that just cause you wouldnt need a faster computer there is no way others might make good use of it?

While Yamaha apparently no longer makes this kind of headphone, another company - aiming their product more at music producers than audiophiles - still does. They even have a budget model that only costs around $80!

I did.  I like them, but I am having a hard time getting them to fit (that's what she said).  The Comply tips work fine, but they're kinda expensive to replace if you use them often.  The stock, silicone tips don't work at all.  The triple-flange ones fit OK, but they're uncomfortable after awhile, and I think they distort the sound a little.  I might end up giving them to the GF and going with the Etymotics if I can't find any tips that work for me.  Fortunately, the Monster Beats use the same size tips as UE, so I have a lot of options.  And no, I didn't try them reversed yet, but it's on my list.
