sorry off topic kinda
but did anyone read this title and thing, "huh it's a Friends reunion?".
I was thinking hmm lets see
Jennifer Aniston lost Pitt to a homewrecker and her movie career just brings in more razzie nominations (this is the bad reward).
Lisa Kudrow I guess is doing that webMD thing, who watches that? and oh my god, I couldn't watch Easy A (well it was a bad movie to begin with) but my fiancee kept on going on and gasping everytime Lisa Kudrow appeared cuz her wrinkles and basic old age lines were so ghastly.
Courtney Cox finally divorced that dumb looking guy from scream but seems to be doing well with cougartown, even allowing Aniston and Kudrow on for guest spots.

Oh yea there were guys, i guess they're living off the millions from NBC and the rerun checks, i think the joey character had one or 2 failed tv shows.

Sorry for the derail, but this is what really went through my mind when i read the title.

Neato, I just put Letterman on and heard them announcing Wintersleep as a guest band.

I will keep it on.

glad to hear you enjoyed it.

Some funny things I noticed:

1) The song they played was clearly chosen for marketing, it's probably one of their biggest singles to date, but is NOT on the latest album "New Inheritors", which Dave was pushing.

Their general style is a bit heavier and darker than this song, but I think they wanted to play into whole "Nova Scotia" thing a bit, a be a bit more accessible.

2) apparently you cant say "god damn" on tv.

3) unlike some "live" performances, they actually played the song (no lip sync), although it was pre-recorded (on monday). They even let Loel (who is a fantastic drummer) have a little bit of fun.

for anyone who didnt catch it (and gives a damn), here's the performance:
hl=en_US">
hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385">

and here are some of my preferred tunes by them, in order from oldest to most recent:

"faithful Guide" (off s/t alb 2005)
hl=en_US">
hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385">

FG leads into this song, "Danse Macabre" on the same alb. wicked buildup + kick-in from 1:25 on:
hl=en_US">
hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385">

"Drunk on Aluminum" (off welcome to the night sky, 2008):
hl=en_US">
hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385">

"laser Beams" (welcome to the night sky):
hl=en_US">
hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385">

"The Kids Are Ultra-Violent" (bonus tune):
hl=en_US">
hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385">

"Preservation" off the new alb, "new inheritors":

hl=en_US">
hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385">

"Black Camera" off the new alb (not my favorite music video by far, but a catchy tune):
hl=en_US">
hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385">

so many others... Ill spare you all...

My favorite albums are the self titled from 2005 (not to be mistaken with "wintersleep" - pseudo self-titled from 2003) and "welcome to the night sky". Pretty much front to back great listening pieces.
