No, the MX1A-21NW is a normal switch. Like a Cherry MX Black but even stiffer, intended for space bars. Grey key stem. See the bottom of this page for info.

If you are planning on using a alternate action MX switch for a Caps Lock key , then you need to make yourself a custom controller for it. There is a special code for a locking Caps Lock in the USB HID spec, but it is not recognized by Windows.

Who are the suppliers? I also like the idea of a locked function key. I would be willing to pay for one of those switches.

that would put my current count at 52 latching switches.  i've got 100 of them tentatively reserved for me right now.

register your interest here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/embeddedform?formkey=dDY4TGlRcVNWeVFFRHp0SjNiX1k3SFE6MQ

Would it be possible to put in for a group order for those alt. action switches? I can't seem to find the that specific switch at the link you posted.

What's the status on this thread. Is it dead? I'm still interested. Maybe the group buy opened up on a new thread?
Cheers!!!

i've been lazy, and have been filling my spare time with de-soldering switches.  i'll likely open up a formal group buy on Monday.  current interest is around 40 switches, which is more than online components has available.
