Thanks for this. Just got my first Model M today and have totally fallen for it. If he lets me pick them up locally I'll be passing on the savings for 3 of the boards here.

Thanks for this link. Just picked them up -- 4 dusty model M's for $60 I couldn't pass up.

Once I get my hands on them and see what condition they're in I'll be passing a few of them along here nice and cheap.

Good buy, especially with an extremely reasonable shipping cost of 6$ per board.

Even better as I didn't have to pay shipping! So the total cost was just 59+10miles worth of gas to go pick them up. Hopefully they're in pretty good shape -- probably will need to find some info on cleaning up Model M boards.

Good deal.

One of the absolute best Model M's I've bought was a blue-label 42H1292 built exactly one week before that one, on 2/2/96. It was in near-new condition and felt great.

RSI prevention recipe:[/B] Kinesis Contoured, Colemak layout, touch typing, Contour Design Rollermouse,  Logitech TrackMan Wheel, Logitech m570 trackball, "workrave" break timer software, "awesome" window manager, tenkeyless boards, cherry browns, Wang 724 with "ghetto green" ALPS, standing desk and/or comfy adjustable chairs, stress reduction, computer time reduction.

Fun non-ergonomic things: bolt modded Model M Space Saving Keyboards with new springs, Kensington Expert Mouse v7, Unicomp Endurapro, Northgates

Ah yes, I love the 42h....  It's one of the most under-rated keyboards here on Geekhack!  They're basically the identical board to the Unicomp Customizer, but with better plastic.  And they usually have most (or all) of their rivets intact.
