New 42H model m keyboards: 139$
« on: Thu, 27 January 2011, 10:39:55 »
Personally, I think it's a little steep, when a unicomp can be had for 79$, but maybe some people want the nicer plastic of the IBM, and new Model Ms are getting hard to find, so here's the expensive link :)

I'd wait a bit and see if none sell and the seller starts taking lower offers.

I wonder what's up with the twisted F7 and F8 in the auction pics.

A Unicomp Customizer = IBM 42H1292 but you can get it with USB and a lot cheaper than this.

Almost the same- same internals, same molds.  But the 42H uses different/better plastic, it's not creaky like the unicomp.  Not that I am advocating paying 140$ for a 42h.  80$ maybe.

I didn't see that at first either.  Definitely a cause for concern.  I wouldn't want to buy it.

Bidding is boring too. You got the same *******s who cheat their way with sniping software and outbid you by 50 cents every time. With Buy-it-Now, it's a lot less trouble.
