Has anyone seen a high quality, red mouse pad that is readily available for distribution here in the US?  I have a steelseries QcK mouse pad right now, and am looking for something with a similar size.

Any suggestions?  I saw the thread on the high quality japanese mouse pads, but I'm hoping to order something within the US if possible.

If you're looking for a great mouse pad I suggest a Func Pad. Great quality mouse pads for the price. Here's the link. Might not be red, but quality can't be beat!

The Japanese mouse pads actually arrive pretty quick, and even with shipping the price shouldn't be too high.

Hmm, I guess I'll just have to order through there.  They do look nice, but my google translate hates me for some reason.

Use Google Chrome, it automatically detect and translate if you choose the option.

I have three FUNC Archetype Custom MBA pads and yes they are very nice but it does make some scratchy noise, consequentially I just replaced them all with the ARTISAN KAI.g3 HIEN - HARD in Blue, they also have Red.

I am very happy with these new pads they are the best I have ever tried/owned/used etcetera etcetera and it doesn't cost a paw & a leg like those FUNCs.

Thank you for the suggestions.  I ended up buying 2 of the japanese red hard mouse pads based on a couple reasons:

1.  I much prefer cloth.  Nothing against the cutting boards...I think they're excellent, I just like it soft.  (I hope that's not what she said)

2.  Red color.  I just bought a ducky wrist rest in red, and that's why I was trying to match with the mouse pad.  Yes, it's probably crazy tacky but whatever, I'm just trying something new.  Pics to come!

The hard pad really isn't soft at all. It's surprisingly hard for a cloth pad.

I just don't like that plasticy feel, so as long as it doesn't feel like that I'm all good!

no, doesn't feel plasticy at all. The feel is very pleasant. Much better than Steelseries Qck.

It's a cloth pad with a harder backing than most cloth pads giving it a rigid appearance. It doesn't roll into a tube like the other usual cloth pads. And as for the few reviews it does seem to be better than the QcK and even the puretrak talent. I don't think the company even makes hard pads i.e. plastic/metal/glass the only "hard" pads are stronger back cloth pads and the g2 cloth with glass beads embedded on the surface but it's still cloth.

The difference between the hard and the soft is really small imo. But the hard one seems to produce less noise so I prefer that one.
